The Opportunities of the Future

The eternal entrepreneur’s job is to take risks pursuing opportunities. The higher the stakes the higher the rewards. Over time humans were driven to create and give a different value to opportunities as they evolved. The first opportunities were valued by humans as they dominated providing the right ingredients for survival. The entrepreneurs of that era were hunters, growers, and warriors. The entrepreneurs who followed were the craftsmen, the explorers, the merchants, and the mechanizers. Their produce was valued by humans and new generations of consumers.

Those entrepreneurs were followed by the industrialists, who led to the next generation of entrepreneurs that consisted of the corporate path headed by corporate executives. From there, new opportunities rose in investment banking and private equity which oversaw the coming of startups that disrupted corporations with completely different business models.

Driven by the need to achieve more, there is always at the end of the continuum a way that leads to higher achievements that will attract entrepreneurs. There are also those willing to take larger risks for greater rewards. Those who are more innovative in creating value in the market always lead the future.

With the advancement of the internet side-preneurs emerged. They have a day job and they work during their free time on independent for-higher jobs and projects. This increased outsourcing jobs and complete projects to different parts of the world. Crowdsourcing is another opportunity driver for new entrepreneurs. We have used crowdsourcing in our Optometry practice on different occasions to design web pages and other digital content. Cloud-based technologies allowed the creation of global business opportunities even for those with limited capital.

Many know about web developing however few have knowledge about web renting. Side-preneurs concerned in web developing and creating online content develop different versions of the websites that are suitable for different industries. Those different versions are then rented for different industries. Recently, the same concept has been applied to social media templates and content. Those templates include content to businesses like car dealers, education, gardening, real estate, pets, and even healthcare, opticians, and optometrists.

Opticians and optometrists who don’t have time to build a social media presence by creating, editing, and posting content can buy media bundles that include ready-to-share, fully editable, and unique design social media content at an affordable price.

Entrepreneurship will continue to evolve as long as new opportunities emerge to attract new risk-takers.
